Farmstead Glamping sits nestled on Colber Farm in the beautiful Dorset Countryside. The dairy farm is run by Father and Son team, Paul and Jon, with the milk from the 150 mixed herd going to local cheese makers Barbers. In May 2017 Farmstead Glamping was set up by their wives, Mary and Hannah. Jon and Hannah live on the farm with their young family and will be our point of contact during your stay.
Many miles of footpaths emanate for the farm, with the charming town of Sturminster Newton being a beautiful 20 minute walk from the huts. There is an abundance of wildlife to be found on the farm, such as the deer that graze the fields around the shepherd huts, along with Pheasants, Rabbits, Hares, Buzzards and other birds such as woodpeckers. The picturesque River Stour meanders through the farm, with Swans and Herons frequently spotted and if your lucky even an Otter. During the spring, summer and autumn months you will see the cows grazing the fields around you.
